Pascal Mercier, "Nachtzug nach Lissabon" (Nighttrain to Lisbon)
It is an introspective book which raises questions about yourself, about your life and the goals of it.
Recently a movie has been filmed after the book, I doubt they could represent exactly
the its atmosphere, since there are no many descriptive situations in the book.
I enjoyed reading it and I recommend it highly.
I do like " The Birthday Party" by Pinter :)
As I'm studying literature I'm usually crossreading several books at the same time:
for my studies:
pretty much the entire narrative works of Arthur Schnitzler
"The Birthday Party", "The Homecoming", "Betrayal" by Harold Pinter
"Mythologies" by Roland Barthes
for leisure:
"How Proust can change your life" by Alain de Botton
"Tod in Venedig" by Thomas Mann
Currently reading "La citta' di pan di zenzero" by Jennifer Steil. It's a book that I bought during my trip to Italy. Have recently strated reading it and it seems quite a good book
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick.
