Hi Gaetano. Thank you for the interesting question. As you already mentioned, social networking has become part and parcel of our daily lives as more and more people tend to use it on a daily basis. But like many other things, it is a double-edged weapon. On the one hand, it is brininging people together as never before. Connecting with family members, friends and coworkers has never been easier. Individuals as well as big companies have realised the power of social networking and they are using it to their advantage; Celebrities use Twitter and Facebook to keep in touch with and to bring more fans. Companies are using it to reach a larger number of customers. On the other hand, social networking has a number of limitations; To mentioin just a few, there are serious concerns about the addictive nature of social networking. Many parents claim that their children spend more time "socialising" online than doing school assignments. Employers complain about their workers spending more time sending tweets than focusing on the company's work. Lack of privacy, bullying and harrassment are also common problems.

On a personal note, I think that social networking has led people to miss the opportunity of genuinely experiencing the simple yet real joy of chatting with friends over a hot double brewed cup of coffee

or enjoying a family meeting over a savory dish.

I think social networking is an easy and efficient way of communicating. I'm using Facebook to stay in touch with a circle of friends and my family. When I post a message it can instantly be seen and read by everyone and everyone has the opportunity to add comments. I also like the fact that you can attach links, movies or pictures (as they say - a picture is worth a thousand words). Of course it works the other way around too. By following Facebook I'm always informed about things that are happening in the lives of my circle of friends and family for example, what they did that day, where they have been on the week end, an opinion about a movie they saw or a book they have read and so on. I just thought to myself the other day what a great idea Facebook is. We have come a long way since the telegram and the fax machine - its awesome!

For me, sosial network is usefull to connect with my old friend which have separated by place and time. I am enjoy use it, and i have get many information around my education etc
