America Culture ^_^ Hey guys!

So I'm American and I've lived here my whole life. It's extremely diverse here: in one town you can find people of all different kinds! I myself am black, white, and Native American.

America has its own holidays (like Labor Day and Patriot's Day), but it is HEAVILY influenced by European culture. America originally had people called Native Americans, who were here before the Europeans settled in. They were mostly wiped out by disease, slavery, etc.

So Europeans brought in Africans, until finally, after centuries of slavery, sexism, and racism, America thought that everyone should be treated equally, and we became self-described as "the land of the free and the home of the brave".

That is a very broad overview of the history.

Now for something more fun...
Because America is so diverse in its people, it has SO many things to do that come from other countries. For instance, right by my neighbourhood there's a Korean mall, there are China Towns spread across America, and there are Asian and Spanish restaraunts. There's also many choices of languages to take in school because of it being so diverse (I am currently taking French, which I speak pretty fluently, and I am teaching myself Korean).

We can't forget American foods, though ^_^ Chicken I GUESS you could call an American delicacy because I believe it was here that fried chicken and chicken sandwiches were invented. American food is pretty unhealthy ^^ but because we have a bunch of different cultures, we may have Italian one night, Spanish the next, and then Chinese. I had spaghetti today: that's seen here by many people as Americanized Italian.

Hmm, I can't think of anything to put in right now: the history and diversity was what I planned to talk about and there it is, above. If ANYONE has ANY questions about American culture, history, language, food, school, or anything, please ask it here as an answer, and I'll make a new topic in Culture Exchange Station. The topic will be called

"American Culture Questions"

Please make the questions appropriate -.-
There, the questions will be answered ^^ Hope I can answer them well!
