Very very good are all your proverbs, I was laughing loudly when I read your variant about losing of the head, very nice are all of them, so I am laughing yet to not waste the day. Good! Thanks!

" If two poeple say you're drunk go to bed " in Sudan we have a similar proverb it's "If two people say you'd lost your head look for it "

"Don't argue with a fool, he has a rested mind", it's really funny (and true) proverb, i like it.
Like me too "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions". And that what you said " Don't measure others with your own hand", in Spain we said " The thief thinks that everyone is like him".

I had forgotten to say that all the proverbs I posted are from Romanian only.
one more :
"He went as an ox and came back as a cow." ( it's taken from a Romanian book by Ion Creanga called "Remembrance from my childhood " - 1880)Meaning: Used for a person that spends a lot of time and money to study and gains nothing. (in Romanian, ox/cow is used for a person who lacks judgement, a fool)
Origin: Wealthy romanians used to send their spoiled kids to Paris to study, but most of them came back unchanged or worse.
