Your Spanish will probably be sufficient because so many people speak Spanish.  I would advise revisiting your Spanish and adopt standard Latin American Spanish over Argentinian.  You will pick up English quickly though many people will want to learn Spanish from you.

I had a French speaking friend to came to the USA to live with a husband she met in the Middle East.  She came from Uraguay, so she knew Spanish as well as her native French.  I advised her to take her driver's license examination in Spanish rather than risk it in English.  Success.
