Technical questions about chatting on Skype

Hello Italki users,

I am an English teacher in France and I use Skype for live chats between my 30 students and people all around the world, as a way to make them more fluent.

I'd like to hire 3 teachers for 5 binomials of students, having to ask and answer questions about lifestyle etc.

My question : is it possible to chat to 5 contacts at the same time on Skype and if so, can they all hear each other?

I did not know Skype could handle   10  members  on a  call.  I have had Five, and for various reasons I suppose,   1 or 2 of the students, (Chinese Doctors)   had a poor connection.

I have had as many as Five students though.  Perhaps Skype has upgraded  to Ten since I last looked.

Group calls are a  powerful feature.  We should take advantage of them.

Yes, try to use skype group video calls. However to use it, at least one person on the call will need to have a Premium account (You need to pays for it to have the video call). Otherwise, you can talk with up to 10 people at the same time, without video if you are using only the FREE skype version.

You could read more all questions about this here:
