Does anyone of you have a favourite place in Italy? Any special memories..?

One of my passions is travelling.

When I visit a place I like to have the whole experience.. the language, the people, music, its culture, food, etc

To be able to feel its true essence I try to cover as much of the country as I can.  While I explore, I capture the moments with my camera.

Once home, I then enjoy reliving my memories through those pictures..

Can you share any special moments you have created on your travels?

I don't and haven't traveled much in Italy either BUT (here's few untrodden spots for you to cover): Trieste, Verona, Lago di Como, Le Cinque Terre, Gressoney, Isola di San Giulio, Bergamo, Lago di Braies, Sanremo, Domodossola, Ferrara, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Comacchio, Bressanone, San Marino (technically not Italy though worth a visit), Bellinzona (Switzerland, again, not Italy but worth the detour).

yes I do!... I am a native Italian but left Italy years ago.. however I do have a favourite place and everytime I visit it is like I am thrown into a different reality. The place I am talking about is a small village in Sardinia called Castelsardo.

I have also visited Venice many times when I was younger and I would say Venice is absolutely fantastic, especially in the summer time, I remember walking down the narrow roads and hearing classical music coming from all over...

Thank you for sharing your favourite places with me :)

I mainly know Italy through a BBC television series hosted by Francesco da Mosto, who drives his Alfa Romeo Spider through the famous places in Italy.

I have visited two amazing cities, Venice and Rome. But on my next trip, I'm going to drive through most of Italy, north to south :)

If anyone would like to tell me of any other not so well known but beautiful places, please do..

I agree that best memories are not built on places that are most visually appealing but instead on warmest hearts and on stomach full of laughter!
