Do you feel like you have a double personality if you know more than a language? Thanks for you opinion :))

I watched this on Tv5 monde. A young Chinese knew speak two languages: french and chinese, and she said her life was different. As if she had two personalities. Do you agree with that? Thanks :)

I don't think my personality really changes but I've heard that other people feel differently.  I remember in college my sister's friend had an Italian personality and her American personality.  For me, I think I enjoy talking about simple stuff more in a foreign language so I might enjoy talking about topics that wouldn't interest me as much in English.  Talking in a foreign language can be fun just because it's challenging.

I don't feel like I have multiple personalities from learning more than two languages but I have noticed that my voice gets deeper when I speak in Japanese. Even my friend Tetsu from Japan mentioned it. Hahahaha

Speaking another language can feel like acting. It can feel detached, as if you're reading from a script, and can give you confidence to say things you never normally would.

I depends on the person. There are people who tends to use another 'personality' when they speak in other languages in order to talk more fluently. Sometimes I do it myself when I speak English.
