Whenever I am learning a new language, I find it helps a lot to read a passage outloud not only to practice pronunciation but also to get into the music of the language. I've found a sense of accomplishment and happiness when doing this in the languages I've studied in the past such as French, Spanish, German, Estonian, Finnish and even Russian. It helps too if you can take a bit of time everyday and listen to a native speaker speaking their language. I found that a new personality was emerging so yes, there is a part of you that will start thinking like a native English speaker and that makes this learning process a lot of fun. Good luck, don't put so much pressure on yourself, but train yourself to study consistently, no matter how little time you have.

Everyone can make time to study a language. Even if you only spend 30 mins a night before bed reading, browsing or attempting to say words in that language will go a long way.

sometimes we set aggressive expectations and when we don't meet them we lose motivation, but remember it's not easy learning another language and sometimes efforts will be slow but consistency is key!

To support your motivation you can read interesting just for you adapted books to your level of English, using Google-translate to translate and sound unfamiliar to you words. Then your motivation will grow at the expense of understanding the contents of the book interesting to you. For example when you listen to English and do not understand almost nothing then your motivation drops because the brain consumes 25% of the resources of your body but gets nothing in return (do not get understanding) so your motivation fades and you support through adapted reading.
