What is the 1st thing or idea, person, book...whatever that came to your mind when you hear the word Simplicity and Complexity ?
I want simplicity in my life. No drama, no games. Simplicity was also the name of a brand of home sewing patterns.
I want complexity in government so that decisions cannot be made and carried out without wise counsel. Lacking enlightened advisors, at least allow time for others to voice an opinion and see how future generation will be affected. Some of our Native American governments had to determine how seven here generations would be affected before policy changes were made.
For me simplicity and complexity are facets of the same thing, though first I would note that simplicity is not the same thing as easy and complexity is not the same as complicated.
Simplicity and complexity both imply characteristics such as order, intelligence, structure. I guess it depends on what perspective I take (or how I'm looking at something) whether I think it is simple or complex. It also depends on my level of understanding of the specific topic or thing that I may be referring to.
What do you think?
Simplicity is like safe but boring
Complexity is like dangerous but fun
I agree with Amelia. In my opinion the opposite of complex is simplex and the opposite of simple is complicated.
1. composed of or characterized by a single part or structure.
