Nokia Lumia 520 was the best for me! Low price and very few apps installed, which makes me free to install what I want to.

I am concern about the size of smart phone because I like read news when I am free, 4.5 inch screen is situable for me.

Beside the screen size, I prefer the phone with more than 1G memory because the system will run fast than with enough memroy. 

I'm using a sumsung galaxy note3 now. Quite good. The handwriting pen is helpful, nice camera also.

Iphone 4s or Nokia Lumia. I think both is good. I am using Ip4s.

It depends on the feature you need.., but if you want many applications in your smartphone, don't forget to notice about the amount of RAM
I think Windows phone or Android is a good choice for some cute stuff on it, or Blackberry for save and bussiness purpose. I think you won't choose apple for 'not high price' choice :D
