Ceść!!
Could you suggest a good polish singer? I'm looking for someone that sings slowly, words declared...I think its could help me in adapting to the sounds of language!

Dziękuję =)

Witaj!

Try to listen this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pQalXmClNc ;

It's sung by a well-known polish singer Zbigniew Wodecki for a children cartoon, so words are quite simple.

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpAr4Xd8sbo This song is one of the greatest polish rock ballads, lyrics are more complicated, but the vocalists sings slowly and clearly.

Miłego słuchania!

Hi! :)

When I started to learn english I also listened english songs, but it's not good for the beginning, believe me. It is different phrases, sometimes different pronunciation. So I think, you can listen to some polish song (e.g. Perfect or Budka Suflera or even Disco Polo ( Disco polo has quite simple phrases so it's good for beginners:)), but it would be better for you to learn polish in speaking, you know, direct conversation :)

Greets:)

I listen to Eska Radio, it's a music radio which you can easily find online.

I listen to it all day while working as my "background music"

I choose that because it has a lot of songs, so I don't get bored from listening to stuff I don't understand.

Slowly I'm starting to pick up words from commercials and radio shows "Like: hello, what's your name?, thank you, etc" and I love the commercials it feels funny. Later on I've started to pick up words from the news segment and the some of the song lyrics. Eventually I found my own favorite singers (Enej).

Here's the link if you're interested, you can find a whole lot more on tune-in website/phone app:

Very simple text - music a bit old-fasioned but unfortunately nowadays singers sing much more unclearly and sometimes natives must listen very attentively to understand the whole text :-)....

... so for education purpose it is perfect:
