American Culture

Hi,

What is the most interesting thing about the American culture? Why does it interest you?

To be honest, I think most of the world is tired of having American culture rammed down their throats. Perhaps this is why I can't think of a single interesting aspect...

Sorry, shizenai, but if you can only express anger, and can't think of a "single" interesting aspect of American culture, that says more about your own deficiencies than it does about American culture.

What I like is that in most places people are genuinely nice, like if you go to New York and they see that you are lost usually they will give your directions or if they see you are trying to take a picture with your family they will offer to take the picture for you. I personally think that's a very good aspect, but of course not everyone you encounter will be full of joy and kindness.

I don't think US culture is rammed down anyone's throat. I think it is replacing traditional cultures and holidays, which is sad, but that's not the US's fault that's people who accept it into their country.

There are lots of things which interest me about American culture not all of them positive. To give a positive I'd say freedom of Speech, although not always perfectly applied it's a good basic principle and I wish we had that in a written constitution. I see so many examples where it's being erroded here.

I think most English speaking countries generally have similar cultures, but there definitely are differences. Actually I looked up a few of them just because of this thread.
