For books, the "Young Adult (YA)" market is really really strong so you have lots of very popular choices. These books have simple language directed at teenagers and tweens. They include (for instance) -the Harry Potter series -the Hunger Games series -the Twilight series -the Divergent series -The Book Thief -the Eragon series and many many more.
