The French 'r'

Hi, I am trying to learn French online and I'm really struggling with the 'r' that follows a consonant (as in 'quatre'). I think it's because in English, we pronounce this combination of sounds at the front of the mouth. 'R' surrounded by vowels isn't as bad but I can only find videos that address that kind of 'r'. Does anyone have any tips for me? Merci.

Hey there. Do you know how to gargle? I find there is a resemblance between the gargling sound (without water) and the r that you are trying to pronounce.
