It's a good question! I think we have to live in our time and today all the world is connected, so it can be very interesting to build a relationship intercultural. It must be really enriching for the both persons.

Maybe, differents ideologies can prevent a relationship, but it can also happen between two persons of the same country...

In short, I think there is no big differences between a relationship with persons of different nationalities and with persons of the same nationality. Maybe the most difficult is settle into the new country for the one who leave his native country. But if this person is open-minded, I think it's feasible!

I'd say it's better to find as much common ground as possible as partner in a couple, but usually you don't plan such relationships, but rather you can be taken by surprise and find yourself deeply involved in it. Then you need steel nerves I think :)
