How do alphabet charts look in your language?

When I say "alphabet charts", I mean, for each letter of the alphabet, there's a picture of something, and the word for it.  eg, A, Apple, (picture of apple), B, Boy, (picture of boy), etc.

Here's my question - in French, words have gender, so would the French chart say, "une pomme, un garçon", or "la pomme, le garçon", or just "pomme, garçon"?

I'd be interested to know this for other languages too!
