what is the best souvenir from turkiye to give as a gift?
i just found an anatolian carpet,
may be post cards too, but i dont like them , papers may harm easily..
so i need more original and cheaper things :P

I like to present these carpet "bookmarks". My boyfriend has such a German translation of stories by Nasreddin Hodsha.I think it's aviable in various languages.It's really made well and has a lot of nice pictures too.
Of course Turkish delight and Baklava is a MUST to bring home (to me ;)).
One time I brought a Turkish tea service set for my mother. I think it's a really nice gift and not so expensive.
I think also some gifts with the "Blue eye" are nice.

I didnt mention earlier, that i have 1 souvenir that has been my favourite of all.
I got it in 1993 when i visited cappadocia and was trying to climb those rocks ..hehehe..
it was the exact volcanic rock stone which is crafted into cappadocia houses.(not sure what is it call in turkish)
i have kept it till this day and have always treasure it. I like it so much because its unique and although its just a miniature but it bring back the delightful experienced in turkey.
