What would you do if someone insults you? Would you respond or just try to ignore him/her?

I need some advice. Thank you :))

It will depend on the kind of insult and the type of your relationship with that person. If the person is not important for you, it is better to ignore. If the person is close to you then you must respond either in terms of clarification or talk or whatever way you feel best depending upon the kind of emotions involved. But it is better to respond after a pause with cool mind, not in the heat of the moment:)

Easier said than done!

If some one insults you without any reason then he/she must expect a responce from you. You shouldn't let anyone bully on you.

At this website or in real life? At italki, just ignore!! It is not important. You are here to learn a language anyway, focus on that. In real life, I would have to know more.

But in general, I have it somewhat easy in these cases, I dont really care that much about what people think of me anyway, so if they insult me, I also dont care that much either. So, it is easy for me to say just ignore, I know. Easier said than done. I must say my attitude is not always beneficial to me either, since you can also be that indifferent that it annoys people. But, try to be a little indifferent perhaps. If they insult you, think like it is their problem, not yours. Be arrogant.

If someone insult me with reasons I will defend my self in a smart way but if that person is just some crazy and stupid being who insult people without reason I just give them a smile and ignore them as if nothing happen.. Well I know they want me to responce and insult them because theya re trying to stir up a fight but I am not giving them what they want. It is like putting water on fire.
