I just signed up today. I was nervous too, because I don't know ANY French (The language I will be trying to learn) and I didnt know if I should try it. I decided to just go for it; I figured I had nothing to lose and if I go through with it, I might finally learn some French. As for preparation, I bought a French grammar/workbook and I found a couple of tutors that I will be working with. Good luck! :)

The rules and information are all posted on italki. Basically you make a 'vow' that you will take 25hours worth of lessons over the next two months. If you do, then you recieve 400 free italki credits, plus the 200ITC you paid to enter. It's to encourage and motivate people to learn.

Sounds good! I think I'll join but I am so nervous!

Oh, and I'm making my introduction video later on tonight.  I think that's the part I'm the most nervous about!
