An experienced teacher named Rita Pierson gave a great presentation last year with great advice especially for teachers and parents.  However, as Pierson says, "Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them."  Every adult has an influence on the children around them.  Hopefully, our influence is positive.
