How to exchange language effectively through Skype

In my experience it is easy to find a lot of potential language partners but very difficult to find a serious learner that will actually go through with it. When you find a person that is genuinely interested, you should set up an specific time and day for the conversation, this is easier than just randomly coinciding on Skype. I find that the biggest problem with exchanges is due to the huge time differences. Once you and your language buddy have decided what time works for the both of you, just meet regularly and talk about fun topics. Try to make it fun and not worry too much about "teaching" each other. I have a couple of exhanges with some amazing people from Brazil and Italy and so far, our casual conversations have helped me inmensely in the learning of everyday language and expressions. Good luck! :)

Thank you, Sandrah! :D

I 'm exactly having some problems what you wrote. It's really hard to find a person who has all suitable things. May be my luck have not come yet. I still find a partner who seriously feel interested in my native language (not a popular language). Well, I hope that someday! ;))
