Native Finnish teachers?

Hello everyone!

I was wondering why there's no native Finnish speakers who teach Finnish for money on italki?

I really hoped to find a Finnish teacher here, but the search only returns two teachers, and none of them is a native.

I'm also looking for a native Finnish language exchange partner. But I'm practically a total beginner so if you have enough patience to teach someone from scratch, I'll be glad to hear from you. I can offer you my native Russian in return.

If you have any suggestions where I can find a Finnish teacher, please let me know.

Thanks!

Here's a native finnish teacher's weblog, who teaches on skype. If you are ready to pay 30 euros for 45 minutes.

Finding a Finnish teacher is hard, even in Finland. I kept looking for one for months!

So now that I know some Finnish, I'm ready to help others who want to get started with the language for the minimum price. As I know not everybody can afford 30 euros per hour to just work on the basics of Finnish.

Moikkä, minun ystävä (Hello, my friend) native Finnish speakers will likely cost you 30-40 USD per hour, whereas a tutor of another origin who can speak it well can teach you for only 20-30 USD. The choice is yours. Good luck! Onnea!

I'm learning languages just out of personal interest. You can think of it as my hobby.

Yeah, I know that everyone speaks English. I shouldn't probably learn any of the languages I'm currently learning. Because you are most likely to get by with English in all the countries where the langauges of my choice are spoken. ;)

I'm afraid you can find finnish teacher only in Finland ^^

Why do you want to learn this language ?

I was in Finland last year, and if you need to go there, don't worry everybody speaks english.
