Major Facepalm this morning!

I had changed my phone's language to "Spanish", thinking this will force me to learn faster. I was loading a web page on my Android phone and saw the Spanish word "cargando". So I switched to Google Translate to look up the word. When I typed it in, I saw the word "Loading". So I naturally figured that the Translate web site was a bit slow, loading the definition.

But it kept saying "Loading". I thought, "Dang, how long is this going to take to show the definition??!!" I looked and saw I had a good Wi-Fi signal. So I wondered if the Translate app was locked up.

After a couple of minutes, I finally realized the definition of "cargando" is "Loading". Major facepalm. LOL!

Ha ha ha ha!

If you could hear me trying my best to translate words from Spanish to English whenever my husband tries to help me fix things on my computer now that it's set to Spanish you would laugh at that too. "Well, that could be it, no, wait, maybe it's that one, no, wait, let me get my dictionary, hold it, no, Oh.... let's just change it back to English!"

Very funny!

I did the same with my smartphone (switching to English). It involves the automatic change of the spoken language. So, it changes the way Google Maps gives indications to navigate. It's hilarious -and also incomprehensible-  when it pronounces the name of the Spanish streets.

The good news is that you're never going to forget what that word means again. :)
