As I have dicovered recently, the sytem of education was created some 300 years ago with two goals:
1. to shape a good soldier, or if this is not possible
2. to creat a good clark
What are you learning for?
Clark?
Maybe it can make you into Clark Kent and Superman! :)
I'm pretty sure that you meant clerk though.... didn't you?

You dont like school or something?
I loved high school. You have no responsibilities, no angry bosses and customers. You study a lot of various subjects, while when you have an occupation, you should only be focused on a few tasks. You have loads of free time. And for the people who have the ability to learn easily from books, like me, there hardly is any stress. If I could go back to high school, I would go immediately.
I ment of cours "clerk", sorry for spelling, thanks Dorothy
Hello Dariusz
You have some very good observations.
I am one of those who learns for himself. I value knowledge for its own sake, and consequently,
I also share what I know with others at no charge. That answers your question as to the reason I learn
(and teach).
The model you speak of, about the soldier and clark (clerk) is still in place in many nations in their systems of public education.
