Chess and life.

Some people say that chess is a life.Every single move can express a certain situation in your life, every single threat can express a certain problem.

Any opinions?

Kasparov said that life imitates chess, but this is only a metaphor which I don't find very accurate. If a life would be like a chess, then what kind of life it should be ? Strictly characterized by rules ? When you fail in chess you immediately lose. In real life we want to have some opportunities to change our decisions or be able to fix some of them. We always want to change something in life, we want to develop ourselves, while in chess you have everything settled and all what you can do is reach a certain level. Chess is a logic, consistency and consequence, life is not.

OK. we can say that life imitates chess partialy?!
For me it was a very helpful tool to improve the ability to solve problems also it helped me improving my way of thinking and how to take right decisions at right timing.

By the way in chess also as in life you can raise up after drawn back, it depends if your opponent makes the right moves or not. In life as well it depends if the obstacles left you completely destroyed or just it was a little harm.
