I have been to Asia a number of times, and I keep going back.
So I am always looking for recommendations for must-see sites, hidden beaches or islands, great treks and very historically/culturally rich areas.
So if you know of some great places I should see in Asia next time I decide to go, leave a recommendation :)
I like the country for many reason. It combienes cosmopolitan cities with many animation, and gorgeous landscapes and protected narural areas. 10 mn from Taipei, you'll find yourself in the wild, in a natural parc in the south, 10 mn in the north, you find the thermal waters fir relaxing.
what I like most are the mountain treckings, because inside the Island there are no population, there rain forests and the highest mountains of South-est Asia with very beautiful sites. For exemple the Yushan (Mount of Jade) the highest mount of 4000 metters high.
You can also visit the aborigenal villages. There are also beautiful areas to practise scuba diving.
Taiwan is just like China but whithout the authoritarian administration. Taiwanese administration is soft and very fast working.
If you like cultural patrimony, you can visit The museum of the National Palace in Taipei, dedicted to the chinese art, it contains all teasures of the forbiden city. There are also many old temples everywhere, unlike China where most of them have been destroyed by the comunists.
Taiwan may look like a small island ( same area than Netherlands) but you need an entire life-time to see everything.
Go visit Taiwan, it's the best country in Asia
Ha Long bay in Vietnam. There are beautiful beaches, caves and maybe beautiful woman. :)
Great! Thanks Elias :)
I have actually thought about teaching in Taiwan. I don't know a lot about Taiwan, so can you tell me what I could see there and what you like about the country?
