start with Arabic Alphapet and memorizing few words
don't focus on picking a specific dialect , start with Classical Arabic and then you will pick the dialect easily afterwards
listen to Arabic movies translated in your language
read books in Arabic, readind do miracles in learning a new language
practise what you learn every single day

Now discussing Arab in the English section is one thing, but do we have to mention the Koran every two sentences? No Christian would mention the bible every two sentences, no Budist, no Hindu.. Nevertheless the Muslims take every opportunity to proselitize their religion everywhere. And then you wonder why some people dont like you?
The Quran language that was writen by: is the arabic of the 700 A.D. where was spoken in the Arabia Mekah madinah to Yemen etc... it is the real arabic called "Al-Fusha" ,some call it also the classical arabic, due to many non arabe entring to islamic world in the history like Turkish,Kurd,Amazigh,Persian, etc.... and after centries the "Al-Fusha" mixed up and been influenced by other languages transformed to different dialects, but in the end,these dialects are spooken in comon population but does not transformed to a real language, still the official Arabic writen language is "Al-Fusha" wich has rules and grammer......etc, it is the official in administrations,books,TV journals,Religion..etc...And the Fusha is understandble to common population,
Because it is the Quran language and Muslims belive that Quran is the words of Allah and no human been can challange the Quran littirature and meaning too, the classical arabic "Al-Fusha" were saved for 14centries and still.. , you are right this language has beautifull side in poetry and also beautifull caligraphy in its letters.
I would like to learn the dialect that the Koran was written in. I heard it is the most beautiful dialect of Arabic ever written.
