Difficulties in understanding english speech during conversation.

Sometimes we think that we know english language well, but when we have our conversation with an American or an English people we have difficulties understanding.
How we overcome these difficulties ? How can we avoid these misunderstandings ?

What I do is to hear people talking in English with the subtitles on screen, there's also a website where you can hear conversation of people with different accents and you can be reading the conver! the name is elllo.com. It'd be a good idea if the new vocabulary you write it on a notebook and you create your own vocabulary list.

Hope this help!

i do really know how it feels. you know, maybe we just focus too much on the text, you know, like when we chat or read an english book. but we never practice like speak as much as we write or read it. or maybe in, i think american or english people said it too fast (lol), you know, when you are so fluently with your language you'll also speak fast too. anyway, we just need to practice more, like when watching english movies, we should hear the peope talk not just the subtitle lol :D

The best way to learn English is to have a close friend that speaks English so he can correct you & not make fun of you. Most Americans are taught to be snobbish.
