Au Pair Experience

Does anybody of you had an experience of au pair? How long? Is it useful for the language?

I don't have one but I just found out a web when you can travel by doing volunteer work and some of the families are needing aur pairs. I can clearly see this has a good rating so I hope I can travel and to get my English better with this option. :)
