Thank you all. I've seen that the most part of you like traditions and equal opportunity. The first thing is very positive because the past must never be forgotten in order to a social improvement Then, about the second answer, I hope that the absence of racism and prejudices is true.

Very often I find that people talks a lot to acquire a good image but, in their chest, they don't totally agree with their statements.

I love a lot of things about my country, like freedom of religion and of speech as well as our increasing acceptance of all races, sexualities, etc... we're very diverse, and it's extremely enriching to be surrounded by people who don't think the same way as you.

But we still have a long way to go!  We don't always practice what we preach.  And I really dislike that many Americans don't keepup with world events-- even if you can't know what's going on in every country, we should at least try to know major things!

I also dislike our schooling system.  We put too much emphasis on money and test scores, and not enough emphasis on actual learning.

I do love a lot of things about my country: first of all the food. ;)

There are two things that I would change, in order to make Italy a better place to live: one is the goverment (sometimes I do really think that someone shoud go to Rome, tear down the government and rebuild it from the beginning) and the other one is the mentality of people here, but I'm afraid this discussion wil take a loooong time. :)
