Yes I leveled up at work with Spanish many times. Most of the time I received a pleasant reaction. I enjoy watching the level up videos on Youtube also.

I am learning Spanish, due to I am currently living in Spain, I got a lot of opportunities to speak Spanish with the natives here.  I feel so happy when people are so appreciated my tries, they do not mind I make mistakes, instead, they encourage me to speak more, the experience is just so good.  But, of course, I also encountered difficulties when I tried to speak in people's native, like this morning, I texted a new language partner in English, he was from the state,  he questioned me why would I learn Spanish when I make mistake in my English because I have said baconS, that was pretty frustrating.  

More times than I could count Paari. I live in Texas now where if I go into a store and there's a clerk that gives me a particular look I know that they are not quite understanding fully and I immediately ask if they speak Spanish and they get soooo relieved! I recently had to spend a lot of time in a hospital where the entire cleaning and dining room staff were Hispanic and spoke in Spanish with each other and even the doctor was a native Spanish speaker. The doctor I didn't tell I spoke Spanish because I had a hard enough time keeping up with his English, but the rest of the staff I spoke in Spanish with and was able to miraculously get blankets and foodstuffs and all sorts of other information and help I wouldn't have been able to get if I didn't speak Spanish. I've helped translate for people sometimes too. 

But here's the funny thing with Spanish speakers here: when I start speaking Spanish they will then start to say every single word that they do know in English! Until I started to speak Spanish they were too embarrassed to try their English or falling over themselves in English because they were so nervous, but after hearing my Spanish they would get so happy and relaxed and know that I wasn't going to judge them harshly so they would start to chatter away in English and try to impress me with their English skills. It's not so great for me practicing my Spanish, but it is a lovely feeling to create in others.

My experience is similar to Elo´s. I have been able to practice my French and Italian here in a mexican beach and I´ve seen quite an improvement on my fluency. It´s really important to practice with native speakers because it really speeds up the learning process. Just don´t be shy and don´t worry if your accent doesn´t come up well, people will understand.
