It can be really annoying when people break their promises. Sometimes it's beyond their control but other times they just change their mind and make up an excuse. It'd be better if they were just honest in the beginning, but some people think that might be ruder.

My latest one was a girl who was going to meet me for a drink for a date but then cancelled that morning with, apparently, a job interview and then completely ignored me afterwards. Oh well.
