Many people take photos of the places they visit. Others prefer to buy postcards showing the same scenes.
Why do you think they do that?

If it's a scenic view, and it's basically the same picture everyone takes, and my picture is going to look just like the postcard only not as good... I'll buy the postcard.
I use my camera to take pictures of the things I can't buy postcards of.
