I guess the answer of your question is highly depended on one's personality rather than the nationality or ethnicity, because "Russian" refers to a large number of people with diverse personalities.

I have made some Chinese friends on this site and they are very polite and respectful. I don't know about Russians because I don't have any Russian friends.
