Hi. Can you please help me distinguish the 2 words "last" and "previous"? For example: The last day or the previous day. Thank you.

previous: coming before in time or order
last:
1. after all others; coming at or belonging to the end
2. (a) most recent (b) preceding; previous in a sequence

Last
Remember the last day we met? (that day could be 1 year ago 2 year whenever they met last time)
while Previous day is yesterday
I Dont know i feel like that if you get answer confime it if i am wrong or right
