Can you recommend a good Arabic language teacher on italki? Someone who you have progressed with in the language, and who is a reliable Arabic language teacher here on italki.
Any recommendations will be helpful and I will follow them up with a trial lesson!
Thanks
Thanks for the informative response.
I too have troubles finding a teacher that can give adequate explanations. Ali Abdul Wahed is an excellent teacher and has been teaching me grammar up until now. I've been studying for almost 2 years and think I'm ready to move on to more conversational Arabic which is what I hope to achieve with a second teacher.
Another gentlemen, I have never had a lesson with but like his posts and explanation is Ali Abdulwahed. Again, never heard him speak but his responses are thorough.
Ehab Atta!!!! He is my teacher. He is PhD level and teaches at the university level. He is acquainted with authors of some of the famous Arabic learning books. He is of refined caliber.
Why? MSA (Al FusHa), many Arabs learn their dialect but not fully educated in MSA. They either don't know, forget rules etc. I've had many discussions with Arabs that say, they forgot or don't know!
I found that either the older they are OR well trained/educated, will have full knowledge of MSA.
Ehab obviously is proficient in several languages. He is very thorough in answering questions and also intuitively knows why you are asking. He understands the analytical/ practical elements if language acquisition. His approach is to ensure you master all elements: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Not completely sure, I would say I am pre-intermediate. But as I have not studied for a little while I suppose I need some practice to get back into intermediate level.
Ah, he used Gateway. There is a real user friendly book that incorporates rules, practice and exercise , all in one day that's seems to help many progress fast. What level are you in Arabic?
