I've always used Skype when teaching my lessons. I use it for the video and screen sharing tools. But what do you (students and teachers) use? Google Hangouts? Zoom?
What gives you the most stable connection?

I want to use Skype, too. But I can't login for some reasons, maybe because I'm in China.
I use mostly Skype but I have noticed that when the connection is slow, Google Hangout does better than Skype. But I don't like either of them for screensharing.
I use them in conjunction with Google Docs. What I like about it is it updates in real time. So if the teacher writes something, I can immediately see it on my screen and vice versa.
If the classes involved screen-sharing and Google Docs isn't enough, I use GoToMeeting. But it's a paid service. Also, it requires more bandwidth than Skype.
