I really like your poem Elisa, well done :)

I wrote this 4 months ago and they told me it's a poem O_o!! So I'll share it here:

If Only You Knew

If only you knew,

That life after you has changed a lot,

World economic crisis, smart phones and Arab spring...

A lot had happened,
Yet trust your daughter when she says:
You didn't miss a thing...

Why didn't you explain or mention, not even once,
That every day passed is better than any day that is yet to come...

Watching the news and wondering, what you would say,
If you knew that war, invasion, famine & killing are usual things these days...

You were wise and smart since the very beginning,
Dying peacefully has saved your heart from breaking...

If only you knew that you are safer now than any time when you were here,
I wonder if you would still choose to come back again and check on me...

If only you knew...

PS: I wrote it for my father.

Your poem is beautiful. I wrote poems but in Arabic but I don't push myself. I just let it be natural and easy.
