"Early birds" or "nightly owls" ?

Hi everybody! I'd like to ask if you could share or exchange your ideas/opinions of being an "early birds" ( go to bed early and wake up early) or " a nightly owls" ( go to bed late and wake up late). What do you think which one works better?

As I'm a student, and I used to be a nightly owl, but these days I've following the new habbit of being an early bird.

Would be appreciate if you leave your views on here. Cheers!

I like to minimize my sleeping hours, so I tend to wake up early and sleep relatively late. Still get in about 6 hours of sleep on average.  My view is that life is short -- I want to be awake to either enjoy what it has to offer or be productive.

It depends whether you have a choice.

If your working day starts at 05:00 then you must be an early bird...

I used to be a night owl.  Now I wake up early and love it.  It feels like I accomplish a lot more each day.  I do go to bed earlier but past 9pm or so I think most people rarely do anything productive anyway so it is not a big loss.
