I have question that one of the anynomous said like this.
" Love it! I always send cards to my mates-- and my boyfriend or course".
My question is "what does it mean "Course" in this sentence?
Thank you!
What will most help you understand what is being said here is to recognize that there is a typo in the original sentence :) It should say "and my boyfriend of course", instead of "or course".
Of course is a common phrase used when something is obvious, or should be expected.
Valentine's Day is about celebrating love. If you have a boyfriend/girlfriend already, you may be expected to give a card or gift.
The speaker said they send cards to their friends, and since she has a boyfriend, she'll definitely be sending him one as well.
Hope that helped! :)
Thank you Savannah!
So, this sentence is wrong! You mean it should be " my boyfriend of course!, Am I right?
