I am finding it hard to switch from Russian language to Arabic. I was talking to one of my colleague in Russian. Another colleague showed up and asked me for directions in Arabic.I could'nt talk to him in Arabic, i could'nt even think in Arabic. My thought process frooze.I knew what i wanted to say in Arabic but Russian words kept popping up.Same goes for switching from Arabic to Russian language.
Any one else has faced this problem. How do i get rid of it?
It's very nomal and it happens to any languages learners, if you have noticed when you speak a language, your way of thinking, even your tone changes. Your brain was "russian" that's why you couldn't switch quickly to Arabic, but trust me, you're not the only one, and it's very normal, and you can get over it quite easy, just talk more in Arabic.
When I want to speak Hebrew I speak Arabic, and when I want to speak Arabic I speak Hebrew which can be dangerous. It happens, just keep practicing.
allow time to do its job. allow your brain to adjust each time, and laugh at the whole thing. these overlaps are natural. Greek still wants to come out of my mouth when i speak Hebrew and i haven't studied Greek for over seven or eight years, my Greek wasn't even remotely fluent!!!
it's no big deal, and part of the package when learning more than one foreign language.
I would advise to avoid literal translation but in case of the writing and reading,
The literal translation benefit readers and not benefit speakers.
I say get rid of this problem, you save acomplete sentence mining.
I leave in ..=انا اعيش في
My religion is islam=ديني الإسلام
The best way to save it by a lot of practice a dialogue and conversion with other.
Beofre you talk, you need to listen first. Get Arabic inputs as much as you can.
