Dear Su.Ki.

thanks for your best wishes. I wish you all the best for the year of the SHEEP.

please have a look at this:

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, sends his regards to the Chinese people via a video for the year of the Sheep. He used the word sheep. This is actually what I have learnt in class.

As to l'année de la Chèvre, I used this term, because I had read an online French-learning post, where there was a dicussion on the translation of the animal in French. Many argue that it should be goat, not sheep. Hence l'année de la Chèvre, other than l'année du Mouton. I therefore copied the term.  As far as I remember, our French teacher at university taught us l'année du Mouton, not de la Chèvre.  This is quite confusing to me, too.

Happy New Year!

Just one question: It is the Year of the Goat? L' année de la Chèvre? Or the Year of the Sheep? L' année du Mouton?

I love sheep. That reminds me - I have lamb chops in the fridge.
