English for IELTS

So, you're preparing for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test? Looking for some tips? Here's Tip #1: Stop looking for tips!

IELTS tests your language level. It's an extremely well designed test that succeeds in doing just that -- discovering where your level of English fits on a scale of 0 to 9, where 9 is native speaker level.

As with any other test, it's important to familiarise yourself with the requirements of the tests and practise as much as possible. Certainly, good advice and feedback will help you, too.

I can promise you, though, that if you approach the test looking for "shortcuts", you will be making sure you DON'T receive that higher band you're aiming for!
