I am a student of Mandarin on italki and have been very pleased with the sessions I have had with my Mandarin tutor. I am going to travel to China this May, June or July and would like to have 3 weeks of intensive, one-one-one lessons with a professor, preferably in Beijing but potentially in Shanghai. Can anybody recommend (or is any here) a professor that can do live one-on-one lessons in one of these cities?

They say TLI is a pretty good bet, but I wasn't terribly impressed with their Shanghai branch. I'm curious - what is it you want to study? If it were me, I'd study conversation, note all the vocab/grammar I lack or mess up in class, and study it outside of class. Everything else, I can do on my own without a teacher.
