Do you mean English movies? As in made in England? The best English movies for me are: Shirley Valentine; The Man who went up a hill and came down a mountain; Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; and one of two of the James Bond movies (maybe Goldfinger). Other English films I really like are: Brassed Off, Four Weddings and a Funeral; Monty Python's Life of Brian; and Wilt.

If you mean, films made IN English then the choice would include some of my favourite Australian movies, and some American movies too.
