A meteoroid is a small rocky or metallic body traveling through space that's way smaller than an asteroid.

Meteor is a meteoroid or micrometeoroid which is burning in the Earth's atmosphere (falling into the planet). It's also called "shooting star".

If after burning in the atmosphere the meteor doesn't get destroyed by air friction and and impacts with the ground, we call it a meteorite.
