Learning a foreign language is like learning any complex skill and it takes about 450 - 600 hours to pass level B1.

I think language exchange via skype wih others is a more fun way than just getting in-person lessons. Altthough the language activities should be structured. For me works a lessen with 3 parts: a short dialog, a chart with all possiblities for the dialog and a short grammar topic.
