Q1. How long will it take for italki to review my teacher application?
A1. Normally it takes about 1 to 3 working days for italki to review your teacher application. After your application is approved, italki will send you an approval email.

Q2: Will I get paid by my students or italki?
A2: Students will prepay to italki when they book for teachers' sessions. After teachers complete the session successfully and students confirm the session, teachers will get students' payment from italki.

Q3: As a teacher, where shall I start with?
A3:
1. Review your teacher profile. Make sure all the important information has been provided such as your teaching experience, education background and teaching method. We also recommend you upload your own teaching video from youtube.
2. Create your own course. To creat your own course, please click on <a href="http://new.italki.com/courses/course_create.htm">http://new.italki.com/courses/course_create.htm</a>;. The course introduction can be about how many hours it will take, what key contents will students learn and key lessons you have prepared. There should be at least one lesson under each course. After you create the course successfully, there is a link right under the bottom of the page of the course, Add a Lesson.
3. Visit Answers or Groups. Show your special expertise in this language by replying to the questions or posts from learners.

Q4: How much shall I charge for a session?
A4: There are two types of teachers on italki, professional teachers and tutors. Generally speaking, the price for one hour's tutoring session ranges from 10 to 150 ITC, which is 1 to 15 USD.

Q5. How can I create a course and a lesson?
As a teacher, you can start to create a course by clicking <a href="http://new.italki.com/courses/course_create.htm">http://new.italki.com/courses/course_create.htm</a>;
Submit your course. After you submit your course, there is one link for Add a Lesson right under webpage of your course. Please add at least one lesson under each course.

Q6. How do I know if someone has booked for my session?
If you go to your My Home at <a href="http://new.italki.com/my/">http://new.italki.com/my/</a>;, there is a section for all incoming sessions. You can also click on My Sessions (<a href="http://new.italki.com/my/mysessions.htm">http://new.italki.com/my/mysessions.htm</a>;) on your italki toolbar. Before you accept the Session Request, please read the session details carefully. If you want to make changes, please click on Modify or Edit. And submit your changes and wait for students to confirm them.
