When one is learning a new language and translates into one's own language literally, there are things that do not sound natural. This is the case of "I can't wait" when translating from English to Spanish. In Spanish we often use the expression "tengo ganas de" or "tengo muchas ganas de" (for emphasis) when we really want to do something. I hope this is useful for students of Spanish. Greetings ;)

Hi. You don't have to.translate word by word literally, just decide on the meaning by guessing and use the equivalent meaning of your language. Language is meanings and feelings.
